Rock the Cause and MN High School of Recording Arts are proud to offer "Another Day" written, performed and recorded by the HSRA Urban Music Group.
All proceeds from the sale of "Another Day" will benefit the North Minneapolis Tornado Fund.
Rock The Cause is proud to announce a partnership effort with the MN High School of Recording Arts to host a North Minneapolis tornado relief fundraiser for those affected by the storms. Several students and a faculty member were affected by the May 22, 2011 storm. The event will be hosted by the school on Saturday July 9th, 2011, with all proceeds benefiting the North Minneapolis Tornado Recovery Fund.
The event welcomes all ages, and will feature the school’s student Gospel and Urban Music Groups alongside some of the best local hip-hop artists in the Twin Cities. A free style contest will allow aspiring poets and artists to showcase their spoken word talents.
Created, organized and planned by HSRA students, this event is a shining example of how Rock the Cause works with young people to inspire and engage the community. “We want people to remember that recovery is long term. In six months the north side will still need people to help out. We can not forget!” said HSRA student Tony Fulford a.k.a. "MC Misfit" who contacted Rock the Cause to assist the students in planning the event.
Admission is a suggested $3 donation, and all ages are welcome. The event will have food and beverages available for purchase, as well as games, give aways and a music download written and recorded by the schools very own Urban Music Group.
Where: MN High School of Recording Arts, 550 Vandalia St, St. Paul, MN
When: July 9, 2011 2PM to 7PM
